Wow, how are we nearly ready to say goodbye to September when I am still catching up with August? What a crazy couple of months—and year for that matter!

Let’s catch you up with what’s been happening behind the scenes. August brought fun, laughter, holidays, and the dating scene (again—ugh!). It also brought a family bereavement. It’s ironic how the universe, just as it tries to gift you something, loves to unsettle you again. On a brighter note, August also brought some success with charity fundraising!
So, where was all the writing in August, I hear you ask? Well, other than procrastination and saying a million times a day, “I can’t do this!” and banging my head against a sun lounger, I did manage to put some serious effort into the Who series. Book 2 is waiting for the button press, and book 3 is almost complete. I’m happy to tell you the world of Penelope, the main protagonist, is far from over. Her journey has taken many twists of fate as she navigates her way through a rocky life.
My ARC readers have provided some firm feedback, and taking criticism is difficult for an author. Yet once you adapt and take it on the chin, it powers you to push even further—crazy, I know! So with dating season firmly behind me (and never wanting to experience it again!), you’ll be pleased to know I have formed a solid relationship with writing.
September! Ugh, back-to-school season. September is already nearing an end, and as always, I am spinning multiple plates. I have worked incredibly hard for several years to put a self-help autobiography together. Amidst blood, sweat, and many therapy sessions, I am very close to finishing my little pride and joy. It isn’t my usual writing style, but it gives a raw, transparent account of events that demonstrates how in a world where we often face adversity, the impossible can be possible. I have cried reading it back, not just for what I wrote but for what I have overcome in that time. Yes, me! Pat on the back!
And well, I’m also, as ever, spinning another plate. I have also started to write a rather steamy, raunchy book that has been received well by some of my beta readers. I promise it won’t disappoint. I’m looking forward to October. I know with some of my plans, it will be another promising month. There are lots of interviews lined up, which only means better writing, more blogs, and more opportunities!
Look out for more updates!
Love Jen xx
